Bank Holiday Weekend and Whit Week

We're expecting a very busy weekend; Saturday night is already fully booked and Sunday and Monday nights are filling up quickly too. The weather forecast for the next 5 days has a little bit of everything - with sunny forecasts for Saturday! The rest of the week will be busy too as it's
half-term for most schools around the country. Book now for next weekend!

This is one of our longest-running dessert items; I think we've been making it since the very early days (12 years!) but it remains as popular today as it was back then.

Say Cheese!

We've been taking some photos of some of our menu items for training purposes and so decided to share a photo here as well.

Our cheese plates are made up of a selection of award-winning local cheeses from the Snowdonia Cheese Company in Llanrwst. We love them! My personal favourite it "Amber Mist" - that's medium cheddar laced with whisky. Martin likes the spicy "Red Devil": red leicester cheese with chillies and crushed pepper but other favourites are "Ginger Spice", "Snowdonia Thunder", "Pickle Power" and "Little Black Bomber".

Stacked duck!


Here's one of the dishes currently being offered on our "Three Course Menu" : Crispy Leg of Gressingham Duck served with fried black pudding on a pea and onion mash with a piquant barbecue sauce. Mmmmm.......

Sunday Openings

For the next 10 weeks we will be open on Sunday evenings! Why for only the next 10 weeks, you ask? Because our children start their summer holidays on July 21st and then we will be closed every Sunday (all day) so that we can have a full day off with the family. Awwww......

ETA - Last open Sunday will be July 8th.

Friday's Lunch

This was my lunch on Friday. Salmon and Potato Cake with salad. Yum! Being a guinea pig has it's advantages!

It's currently being offered on our specials board as a starter or main course.
